Do you feel stuck in a rut? You know something is wrong and you need help doing something about it? Perhaps a personal crisis, sudden change or life transition has caused you to re-assess what you are doing in your work, relationships and for yourself.

May be you know what you are dissatisfied with. Those missed opportunities, unfulfilled dreams, negative patterns or lack of meaning and purpose.

Perhaps getting older has caused you to revisit what you want out of your life and reflect on experiences from the past.

Reflecting, examining and re-evaluating where you have been and where you are heading can be an affirming and positive process. Working in collaboration with an insightful, experienced practitioner can ease the burden and allow you to look with a fresh gaze on all of who you are and who you want to be.

I am a counselling educator and practitioner with over 23 years experience in the field of personal growth and therapy committed to assisting people to make positive changes in their lives both big and small. I have been privileged in my professional life to see the transformation of my clients as they move through a journey of self discovery to connect with their values, rediscover meaning and purpose and make their dreams a reality.

I offer counselling if you wanting to explore issues from the past, heal old wounds or have a safe space to experience or express unspoken thoughts and feelings that have an impact on your health and well being. Together we would work through these concerns using journalling, visualisation and other creative means to support and enrich the process of change. I draw mainly on training in Emotionally Focused Therapy as well as Polyvagal theory and Embodiment practices however we can collaborate together to find the best way that works for you.

I value the world of theatre, music, film and literature as an inspiration and resource in my counselling work. Laughing, health, nature, family and community are big priorities for me also.

I have many years experience as a group therapist teaching on post graduate programs for student therapists and developing course material in counselling and communication. For 17 years I worked as a consultant for OTA, a national body delivery training in grief ,loss and trauma to front line health workers. I also facilitated Communication training for The College of Intensive Care Medicine. For the past 7 years I have worked in the private hospital setting as both group therapist and team leader /manager for hospital and out patient Eating Disorder treatment.

I only work with individuals.
