Experience:
I am a registered Psychologist and have worked as an individual
counsellor and therapist for 15 years.
I have worked closely with people as a counsellor and therapist
for undergraduate students, postgraduate students and members of
staff at the University of Sydney for the past twelve years. My
earlier work has also included counselling teenagers in programs
aimed at diverting youth from the criminal justice system and in
the area of child protection.
Special Interests:
Sharing your inner thoughts and experiences with another can feel
like a risky step to take but it can also be a relief to receive
professional support and guidance with the issues that confuse you,
challenge you, overwhelm you or where you feel stuck.
My style of counselling/therapy aims to firstly connect with you
as an individual and then to understand the issues you are facing.
I encourage the exploration and expression of the layers of your
thoughts and feelings as I believe it is when we access both the
wisdom of our heart and mind in tandem that we find healing and
together unfold ways to move forward.
I have a depth of experience working with inter and intra cultural
issues which is complemented by my bi-cultural background. It moves
me to be part of another’s courageous journey of enquiring
beyond symptoms and conflicts into a deeper of understanding of
who we are and how we can bring about change.
Teaching & Training Experience:
I have run cross cultural adjustment workshops for international
students and been a facilitator of the International Student Orientation
program at the University of Sydney for 12 years.
Qualifications:
- Masters in Counselling Psychology : Macquarie University (2001)
- Hons. degree in Psychology : Macquarie University (1992)
- B.A.(Psychology & Sociology) : University of New South Wales
(1991)
- I am currently engaged in and due to complete (2010) my specialist

private health funds. I am also a member of the Australian Psychological
